Can my insurer assist me to file a 3rd party claim?
Your insurer cannot directly file the claims for you. You have to do it yourself.
You should file a damage claim under your own policy yourself and once you are indemnified, your insurer will proceed with the recovery procedure only if you’re proven to be the victim of the accident.
If the recovery status is a success, your No-Claim Discount (NCD) will not be docked by your insurer, you can rest assure on that.
